GS Surf & Racquet 301A

Gulf Shores Surf and Racquet 301A is a 1 bedroom 1 bath condominium located on the 3rd floor overlooking the lagoon. The unit is approximately 550 sq ft with a limited view of the gulf from the living room balcony. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with a separate area for a washer and dryer. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and the bathroom has a tub/shower combo; efficiency style unit(no true bedroom door). King, Sleeper sofa. Sleeps 4.

Gulf Shores Surf and Racquet is a 9-story building at its highest peak located 3.3 miles West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores with deeded beach access directly across the street and a private boardwalk to the beach. Gulf Shores Surf and Racquet have a lushly landscaped lagoon side outdoor pool area, hot tub, pier, boat launch, tennis, shuffleboard, and BBQ/picnic area. There is a 1 car limit. Parking passes must be purchased by guests at the Gulf Shores Surf and Racquet Front Desk On-site Office. 3 night minimum year round.

  We like the location being, on a two lane road versus 4 lanes and that it is a smaller condo building. Plenty of parking and have across the street beach access.

  The size of the rental was just right for a 2 week stay. Appreciate the road being down to 2 lanes. Quieter, less traffic, yet conveniently situated to get to where we wanted to go easily and within close rang to where we wanted to go. Unit was clean, in good working order and nicely decorated. We liked the sunlight that came in through the patio doors and window. Great view as well.

  The condo was very nice and just right for a short vacation. We had access to the for my grandson to do some fishing. The pool and hot tub was very nice. And private access right across the road to the beautiful Gulf.
  The condo it’s self was very nice and clean. All and all great memories were made. Will be back to stay here again.

  This was our 2nd stay in 301A in 3 years. It was just as neat, clean, and maintained as the previous visit. I like that it's right at the top of the steps. The building does have some new elevators now, and that is nice. The beach is MUCH narrower than it used to be, and that made it much more crowded. We probably won't be back next year because of that. Hopefully that will be repaired soon. But the unit and the building remain AWESOME. We've stayed at the Surf and Racquet club for nearly 10 years. When the beach is restored, we'll be back.

  Property was exactly as described. Perfect for 2 on a short stay. Clean and well prepared. Comfortable bed, nice sheets and ample towels in the bathroom.
  The Gulf Shores area may be the nicest beaches anywhere. Local restaurant choices provide a great variety. We stick to seafood and weren't disappointed. Not clear to me why the property needs to charge $25 for a parking permit. Maybe to pay to have the lot repaved. Railings on the beautiful pier would be nice.

  From your balcony you can see the ocean and how the waves are that day which I absolutely loved. Pools were clean and rooms were clean. No smells in rooms which was an absolute plus! Front desk lady was super nice as well!

  Such a cozy spot for time by the beach. Decor is up to date and furnished with everything needed for an enjoyable time of relaxation. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and walks on the boardwalk to watch the sun set. Perfect for a couple or girls trip since the bedroom area is not closed from the rest of the space.

  This was about our tenth stay in or around Gulf Shores, the 6th time at the Surf & Racquet club, and this unit is at or near the top! The unit has been decorated by someone with very nice taste. It was impeccably clean, and while we wiped everything down to be sure it was sanitary, we appreciated the smell that told us the cleaning crew had already done the same thing!
  The unit had the best equipped kitchen of ANY unit we've stayed in. My wife, an outstanding cook, even said it was as good as her own!
  The furniture was all in outstanding shape. The king size bed was nice, but it was a tight fit in that room. There's no door isolating the bedroom from the rest of the unit, so if you have a guest, you won't get any privacy...
  The only item we went to buy was an extension cord. (And more TP!) If you want to plug something in on the long counter-top over the dishwasher, there's no outlet. We had brought along our Instapot, and we needed the extension cord to use it. No big deal.
  Not sure where we're going next summer, but if we return to Gulf Shores, this unit is high on our list!
