Tropic Isle #805 is a west corner gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 8th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1000 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living area. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with washer and dryer. There are two full baths. The street-side master has an en suite bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower. The hall bathroom has a tub/shower combo. King, Twin, Twin, Sofa sleeper. Sleeps 6. 2 car limit.

Tropic Isle is an 8 story building with 5 units per floor located 0.3 miles West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Tropic Isle has an outdoor pool and grilling area.

  Condo was in walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Condo was clean and comfortable. Water was hot in the showers very fast. Biggest complaint was I had to rearrange cabinets to have room for the food items we brought and I didn’t realize there were no potholders to take hot dishes out of the oven. Loved having a washer and dryer in the condo. Property management was very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

  We had rented several different units here for the same week to accommodate our family. This unit is very outdated. The view is beautiful but was a little disappointed in the unit itself. Other than that, we had a great vacation. Will definitely be back as we come every year, I will make sure not to rent this unit again.

  However- the master bed is like a condo slab, the master bathroom room is out dated and very small

  Overall our stay in this unit was okay, but for the price we paid it did not meet our expectations. PROS:Friendly management company, great location, incredible views. CONS: Entry door frame was busted (looked like it’s been kicked in) the locks still worked but that was our first impression of the unit and not a good one, unit could use a deep clean and some tlc, a/c sounds like a rocketship ready to blast off every time it turns on so be prepared to wake up multiple times a night, and finally when we went to use the dishwasher the last day of our trip it didn’t work so we got to do dishes by hand on vacation yay!

  This is a prime beach property. It should be treated as such. When we arrived on 12-20, the kitchen sink was backed by a clogged disposal, the television was inoperable, the clothes washer did not operate and the fridge ice maker does not work.
  It took two separate repairmen to fix the TV and the tech guy who came to fix the washer was unsuccessful and I told him don't worry about it---we'll get by without it.
  But honestly, the disrepair of the property was less disgusting than the arrogant and dismissive reception by the manager at the desk when I checked in. He waved me off to the box outside in the rain to pick up my room entry directions. Nice.
  What is so hard to understand is that every other dealing I have had with Gulf Coast Rental personnel over the years has been great.

    We are sending these issues immediately to the maintenance coordinator to resolve. We hate that the guest had maintnenance issues upon arrival but we were not aware there were any issues or they would've been addressed prior to arrival. The way the guest was received in the lobby is not indicative of how our Gulf Shores Rentals staff treats our guests so we do apologize for that. The guest arrival box is located outside of our office and we send several pieces of e-mail and text correspondence to let the guest know where to pick up prior to arrival to allow the check in process to be seamless and quick. -Gulf Shores Rentals

  We loved the unit and the balcony on the corner! The only problem we encountered was low or no water pressure most of the stay. There was a big festival two hotels down at Hangout the weekend after we left and everyone in our condo was experiencing no water pressure which caused issues with flushing the commodes and taking showers. Other than that we would come back to this unit!

  Nice location. Have been coming to this condo for over 10 years. Last 2 times we have been here the floors were not cleaned. The cleaning crew runs a mop over it very fast and they call that clean. We had maintenance come to spray for ants and asked to have floor cleaned. We also asked to have food cleaned off wall. Food was still on wall when we left end of vacation. Walked the length of condo a couple of times after they came back and cleaned floor again and ended up with very dirty feet. We have recommended this property to friends but will not do so again!

  Enjoyed our stay at this condo. It had everything we needed. Slept 6 comfortably. Few little minor cosmetic things but nothing to complain about. It’s in a great location, and the beach wasn’t so overcrowded being a smaller condominium. I was worried the wait for the elevator would be difficult since there’s only one, and we were on the top floor. But we had zero issues, even on a holiday weekend. The pool is on the smaller side, but my kids had so much fun in it.

  I love the location of the Tropic Isle Condos its close to 59 which means its right in the center of shops and the hangout. We like these condos because it is a smaller condo between other smaller condos so not as many people, it was easy to rent chairs and find a place on the beach. Our condo was nice but had its problems. The 2nd bedroom satellite TV didnt work, the wifi is horrible and the master room shower was the smallest I have ever seen. Other than that is was a great place to stay.
