Tropical Winds 601

Totally renovated this year. | Tropical Winds 601 is a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom corner unit with approximately 1300 sq ft located on the 6th floor. The condo has completely renovated at the beginning of 2019 including all new flooring, a custom kitchen, and all new furnishings. Comes with a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table with seating for 6 and two additional bar stools. The Master bedroom has a king bed, the 2nd bedroom has a king bed as well and the 3rd has a set of twins with a sofa sleeper in the living room making the condo. King, King, Twin, Twin, Sofa sleeper. Sleeps 8 comfortably. Saturday to Saturday only during the Summer and Peak seasons.

Tropical Winds is located approximately 1 mile west of Highway 59. The property has an outdoor pool, a small fitness center, a BBQ grilling area, and *a meeting room*. 2 car limit. Stays longer than 30 days must purchase pass(s) for every month.

    If a condo is not up to par, we can send housekeeping or maintenance out to address the issue. We answer our phones from 8 am to 5 pm every day of the week, including maintenance after hours. We are not sure why there was a complaint about a returned call, because that is not how we do business. All maintenance and housekeeping issues will be passed along to that department to be corrected, including any HOA related issues. All update suggestions will be sent to the appropriate party.   This is a great condo unit with plenty of space and the online description and photos are accurate. We enjoyed our two month stay and the people we met at Tropical Winds. This was our third time renting this specific unit. Be aware that there isn't a lot of beach in front of this complex. Beach restoration is planned for later on in 2023. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware, but the refrigerator only has two shelves and the ice maker makes a lot of noise when it cycles. There is also a separate standalone ice maker which is a great addition. The beachside king bed could use a new mattress. Also the area rug in the living room is starting to show its wear. There is an excellent pizza place right across the street and nearby restaurants that you can easily walk to.

  Unit was very clean! Loved that it had an ice maker. View beautiful and beach great as it was small. Not far to walk to beach and not crowded. One elevator was plenty for the size of the condo.
  
  We had an issue with ice maker and once reported someone came quickly to repair. Only drawback was no beach chair and umbrella service available. However, there was service next door and the attendant was nice enough to put our chairs as close to our condo as possible. Pool needed some maintenance but we didn’t spend much time there.

  We spent July 1-10 at Tropical Winds, unit #601. The condo was perfect! We did have an issue with the ice maker, but they came and fixed it immediately and we had no issues for the rest of the week. My ONLY complaint is, the elevator went out and was out for the entire day, in to the night, walking 6 flights with pool bags and beach toys wasnt fun!!!

  The condo at 601 Tropical Winds was nicely updated and we enjoyed our stay, We would definitely stay again if the beach itself wasn’t so narrow narrow and uneven to walk on. It was hard on anyone with knee issues.

    Our sugar white, Gulf sands are gorgeous and soft so they are definitely not firm to walk on. We are sorry you feel like you experienced an uneven beach. There are no large rocks to make the sand more stable.   We had a great time at tropical winds 601. Unit was clean. Our only negatives were: cold pool and toilet seats do not stay up. Besides that we had a lovely time. Last, make sure not to forget to put your parking pass up in the vehicle or they will tow it regardless if you are staying there.

  We had a lovely condo on the 6th floor. The view of the gulf is beautiful. The condo had 3 nice size bedroom and a fold out couch which we didn’t use. The kitchen has all the pots, dishes and utensils we needed. Plenty of ice with an addition ice machine ! Loved the location to beach and many wonderful restaurants. The zoo and Alligator reserve were minutes away. We had 2 Adults, a 20yr old , 2 16 yrs old and a 12 year old. Everyone loved it!!

  We came down the end of July. We arrived and were excited, overall the condo was good. It could have been cleaned better I.e. burnt fries still in the oven, more sand on the floor than there should have been but that was an easy fix.
  The Condo is in a great location and the beach itself is clean, until
  You get in the water. I’m not sure how often this happens but there was so much algae in the water it made you not want to swim in it.

  The Tropical Winds Unit 601 was as described. It was the size of unit that we needed for our family of 7. The location was perfect very close to all we had planned to do. Good supply of cookware. Some units never have enough cookware and this unit had the perfect amount and item needed. Very easy to get in and out of unit and complex. Easy access to the beach and pool area. Only thing I might change would be to have an area for overflow parking. With a three bedroom 3 bath unit it really need access to three parking spaces. That I guess is the only negative I had with the complex.

  Overall a good experience. Condo was well equipped. Very sc short walk to beach. Nice pool for kids. Family of 5 had plenty of room. Only cons we found was there was a horrible trash smell from the dumpster not being emptied the last 2 days and the floors were not clean but we had a great time with 3 small children
