Surf Side Shores 2405

Surf Side Shores 2405 is a standard interior gulf-front 2 bd 2 bath condominium located on the 4th floor in building II overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 820 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master. This condo has original cabinetry, Formica countertops, and original vanities in the bathroom. The condo is priced accordingly. It has a fully equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer. There are two full baths. The primary bath has a tub/shower combo and the guest bath has a standalone shower. KIng, Queen, Sofa bed. Sleeps 6.

Surf Side Shores I and II are 9-story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Surf Side Shores has two beachside pools, one of which is an extended season pool and a small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services buildings I and II. 2 car limit. Stays longer than 30 days must purchase parking pass(s) for every month.

  Our rental property was very nice but in need of updating. Accessibility to beach was good and the view was spectacular. Unfortunately we were not informed that the access to the beach from Surfside Shore would be closed the last three days of our stay due to beach restoration. The restoration was announced but the exact dates were unknown. Since our reservation was was made only a month prior to our arrival, I feel we should have been informed of the possibility of beach access being closed from the property. Had I been informed by Gulf Shores Rentals, I may have adjusted my vacation time or property location. When I informed Gulf Shores Rentals I was given an apology where as at least one night rental fee or other compensation should have been granted. I see on Facebook that others who were renting the same week received some form of compensation.

  We had a great weekend at the beach. The location is great. The beach is so close. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. I do have a couple complaints. The parking lot, the spots are so narrow, I have an SUV, and there are not enough parking spots. We drove from Missouri, I brought 2 shades for the beach. A pop-up canopy and a Shambui. Only to find out they are not allowed at this part of the beach. 2 condos down to the east, you could have them. I could see many of the same things I brought but beach patrol said we could not have them at our part. I had to go buy the umbrella type. The lady at the store said it is not a Gulf Shores "rule", it is a condo "rule". That was frustrating.

  Everything was perfect and exactly what we expected. They rental was very nice, parking was easy to get in and out of, the beach views were stunning.   The unit was good as expected. It sits really close to the beachbeach which is great! If I had to pick one negative thing to say, I guess it would be that you have to bring up your umbrella and chairs or they will Confiscate them. I understand why they do this but that part is aggravating compared to the units they allow you to leave your umbrella and chairs. It's certainly nothing that would stop me from booking again!

  We enjoyed the apartment and most of all the south facing balcony. The Rental and facility staff were always pleasant and very responsive. I particularly praise Glen the building manager who helped with mail and good counseling. The Gulf Shores Rental folk provided good internet information and new pots and pans, plus a new range hood.   A great place to stay right on the beach. The one issue we had was fixed promptly. The only drawback was the window in the small bedroom was by the outside light so it was never dark in that room.

  Condo as described. A little outdated but as clean as any I’ve stayed at. Great a/c. No sliding doors to rip your fingers off. Double 3 foot doors. One finger open and close. Fast elevator, no problems even on busy week. Great condo.
