Ocean House 2206

Ocean House #2206 is a west corner gulf-front 3 bedroom 3 bath condominium located on the 2nd floor in building II overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1300 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer. There are 3 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or a stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side master has an en suite bathroom with a garden tub; no shower and the middle bedroom has an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower.

Ocean House I and II are 9-story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Ocean House has a large seasonal zero-entry outdoor pool and a small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. Minimum age required: 23. King, King, Queen, Sofa sleeper. Sleeps 8.

Parking passes are purchased on-site at Ocean House at the guard house or office located in building I - CASH ONLY. There is a maximum of 2 parking passes per unit and the cost is set by the association and is subject to change at any time without notice.

  3 bed/3 bath end unit condo perfect for our family. Views are great of beach and pool. Only problem was old, uncomfortable mattresses in all 3 bedrooms. Working with Gulf Shores Rentals is always a pleasure. We will certainly stay with them again.

  The only problem we had was that the guy with the beach chair rental would try to take the whole beach front. The people that brought their own chairs and umbrellas would have to be behind them. We had have to get our chairs and umbrellas set up before 6 every morning if we wanted in the front. There needs to be some compromising !!!

  Everything was great. The ocean house is a great Family experience right in the middle of Gulf Shores. This unit IMO is the best there is. It sits on the pool and has an awesome view of the beach. Plenty of room and very well located for going up and down. Great set up on the beach. I would recommend renting the Umbrella and chairs at the beach.

  The location of this vacation property was ideal. Beautiful views! Great beach locations.

  It was great. The only issue was the horrible smell in the lobby while waiting on the elevators all week. The smell was very very bad. They did try to hind the smell which helped some. Just thankful that it was only in the lobby and elevator that you could smell it the worst. Otherwise our whole family had a wonderful vacation. Being right on the beach was awesome and having the pool was a big hit for the grandchildren.

  Honestly if it wasn't for the amazing view of the ocean, I would be giving this property VERY poor reviews. For the price we paid for 7 days my family was very disappointed in this rental....loose floor tiles, bedroom doors not shutting, doorwall not shutting completely (3/4" gap at top)...main entrance door needs weather stripping so the wind doesn't constantly whistle thru the unit, there is much more needed here but these are the main issues

  Sliding doors would not close completely. Huge gap at the top, needs updating, mattress in back bedroom is needing replacing, master shower doesn’t drain well. Needs a little attention to the overall room.
  Would be extremely helpful to have to not use a key to enter room. Too hard to keep up with keys for teenagers.

    We are actually in the process of converting our condos that require physical keys into coded properties but it's something that takes time. We do agree physical keys are less convenient.   Overall, we had a good experience; however, the actual beds (which were cheap & flimsy) and the mattresses could definitely use an upgrade! One bed was literally falling apart in front bedroom suite. The springs in the other king mattress were worn.

  We love gulf shores rentals and the location of ocean house. Strange vacation this year with Covid 19 virus. 2206 overlooks pool so we can watch children. Mattresses need replaced. Cleaning fee too high as condo never truly clean. Parking fee ridiculous as often lack of space and high condo rental fee.

  Disappointed! Definitely not worth the price. Unit 2206 was not advertised as the true condition. The condo is in desperate need of upgrades and maintenance. 2 broken toilet seats, The carpet is old, worn and dirty. , The air vents were very dusty, and there was a broken towel holder. The beds were awful to sleep on. Needs to be freshly painted. The condominium complex looked like it needed some upgrading as well (ie: lobby) but overall seemed okay.
