Surf Side Shores #2205 is a Gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium located on the 2nd floor in building II overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 820 sq ft with views of the Gulf from the living room and Gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size washer and dryer. There are 2 full en suite bathrooms. The master bathroom has a tub/shower combo and the interiorly located guest bedroom has a bathroom with a shower only. Both bedrooms have king size beds. Unit sleeps 4 and does not have a sofa sleeper.

Surf Side Shores I and II are 9-story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Surf Side Shores has two beachside pools, one of which is a heated/extended season pool, and a small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services buildings I and II. 2 car limit. Stays longer than 30 days must purchase parking pass(s) for every month.

  We stayed I'm Bldg 2 Room 2205. Love the location and the condo. Only complaint is room wasn't very clean when we got there and we also had to call for maintenance 4 times about the AC. It never got below 76 during the day and at night 75!?! Last maintenance man that came was so rude. They all said the thermostat needed replaced but they didn't want to do the repair and charge the condo owner?!?

  The layout and furnishings in the condo were as described and seen on the website. The location of the building was great. What is not acknowledged in any way on the website are the rotting molding, buildup of dust and dirt everywhere, extensive ceiling and wall patches, and the list goes on. Management should consider taking this unit off the website until they deal with maintenance issues. If we’d have known the condition, we would have stayed elsewhere, but there was no way for us to know. We were very disappointed in the lack of care shown here. I don’t know if their other units are maintained (or not?) like this one, but I can’t recommend a vacation here. I hope they will have a talk with the cleaning crew. I have pictures of some of the issues, but cannot post them here.

  This unit definitely needs some attention and TLC. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as we weren't in the room a lot. I wasn't happy with the beach there due to seaweed and no one attempted to clean it up. Other condos we've stayed as in the past have people who come and sweep the beach each morning.

  We originally had a reservation at a different property and learned a week before from a family member who was staying at the same condo that the pool was closed and we wouldn’t have access to the balcony due to work being done. I called a week in advance to confirm this and your rental company told me that amenities weren’t guaranteed. Fast forward to the day of our arrival, 2 hours from getting to Gulf Shores and I receive a call from Michael who explains they just found out about the issues and want to offer us a different location to stay that will allow us to use the balcony and has a working pool. We accept the change.
  It was a nice condo. We’re grateful for the accommodations, wish the communication was better.

  The location of the condo was perfect and the beach was beautiful.
  The condo is in serious need of cleaning. I really hesitated to do this review, as I don't like being negative. But, my hope is the owners will use it as a gentle reminder.
  The decor was cute and attractive, but it needs to be deep cleaned. Our socks/feet would be literally black from the floors. And, the mattress was very bad. Both my husband and I had sore backs each morning.
  This place has huge potential, and as I said it is located in such a great area.
  Overall, we had a good vacation, as the weather was spectacular and we were at the beach or pool most of the time.
  I can't, honestly, recommend this condo in its current condition.
  I had seen some reviews stating the same issues, so I mentioned this to the rental agency prior to renting. I was assured that it is professionally cleaned and should not be a problem. So I went ahead with the rental. I am going to pay more attention to the reviews in the future.
  I sure hope the owners hear this, and have the condo really cleaned. Then it would be a fantastic place to visit!!

  We have stayed at Surfside many years and this room in comparison to years before did not meet our expectations. I would not rent this one again. The room over all seems to be in need of a DEEP scrub especially the master bath area. The sheets felt Sandy in both rooms and items were broken like the mirror on the wall and the dresser drawers. We still enjoyed oir stay and love the pool but just would choose a cleaner and more updated condo. We did love staying on the 2nd floor though for easy access to the pool especially with kids!

  The rental was beautiful! It was a cold January so the floors were very cold, because of being on the 2nd floor. It would be nice to have an area rug in the living room. The floors need to be professionally steam cleaned. No matter how often I mopped them, they wouldn’t be clean,! It would be nice to have grab bars and towel bars in the bathrooms.Would love a recliner in the living room.
