Island Royale P104

Island Royale P104 is an interior gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium on the penthouse level overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1015 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops with a washer and dryer in a separate laundry room. There are two full baths. The gulf-side primary bedroom has a king bed with an en suite bathroom with a standalone walk-in shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen with access from the bedroom to the hall bath, which has a tub/shower combo. The living room has a sofa sleeper. King, Queen, Sofa sleeper. All new mattresses. Sleeps 6 people. Island Royale P104 has one covered reserved parking spot near the elevator.

Island Royale is a 16-story building with 6 units per floor located 0.8 miles west of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Island Royale has a swim-thru pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, and exercise room. The property also has a grilling/picnic area. There is a 2-car limit. Must be 25 years old to rent. Island Royale is a NO SMOKING facility. Smoking is allowed by the bbq area.

  Great vacation altogether. The penthouse was very clean and nicely furnished. Stunning view of the ocean and beach from the large balcony. Island Royale has easy access to the beach. Grounds very well maintained. Very quiet and we never heard any of our neighbors. We will be back!

  Super clean condo. This is on the 16th floor so you have amazing views. One word of caution, your covered reserved spot by the elevators is TIGHT. We were in a Toyota Sequoia and it fit - but everyone except the driver had to exit first. Other than that - EXCELLENT CONDO!

  Great building with easy access to the beach. Great view and location! The condo is cozy and comfortable. It could use some updates to the carpet and TVs (although we didn’t really have time to watch!). We would definitely stay here again.

  Our week in the rental was mixed. We loved the view of the beach and ocean. The rental needs updating, when you consider it was over $2,000 for a week. The sheets did not fit the bed. They were too small so came off every night. The recliner was on a partial recliner as it doesn't go back all the way. Dresser in the bedroom is extremely cheap, as the drawers would nearly fall out when opened. Coffee maker is old and does not make hot coffee any longer.

  This is the third time we've rented with Gulf Shores rental. This year we were very well satisfied with the arrangement. The condo was nicely decorated, clean, centrally located, beautiful beachfront location, furniture was adequate, appliances worked well. We got to enjoy the pool, hot tub, soaking up the sun because it was one of the best February's in years. Most of our favorite restaurants are nearby with "snowbirds specials". Mardi Grais parade is a joyful event. Both checking in checking out was easy, elevators were readily available. We did notice the heat/ air seemed not to be working right, the people at Gulf Shores rental sent a repairman over and took care of it in a very timely manner. We would hope to return in coming years to enjoy the beautiful white sand beach.

  The condo was set up nicely and had everything we needed. We were very disappointed in the beds. All the mattresses need to be replaced. They are well worn. The furniture in the living room is well worn as well. When you sit on the couch, it’s like you’re sitting in a hole. In the master bathroom I had to clean the commode. It was pretty gross.

  I was not told the condos roof would be worked on during my 2 month stay. Drilling and hammering all day everyday. My until was on the top floor. The furniture was old and terribly worn out and uncomfortable. The mattress cover and so called fitted sheets were worn out. I purchased a set at Target to use. I could go on and on. I was told one week prior to arrival that my that Westwood was being painted and this unit was offered and I got screwed. If I do not receive a reasonable credit to be applied to next year I will never use you guys again after several years of doing so and share my experience with others.

    This guest had already checked in when we were notified of building maintenance by the association. We do not schedule maintenance for the building or have control over when things are going to be repaired. Unfortunately, there is never a good time for building maintenance. We are passing along the suggestions regarding the bedding and furniture as every condo is individually owned and those updates are done by owners. We did everything possible on our end to appease this guest. There are some things that are just unfortunately out of our control. -Gulf Shores Rentals
